Kicking things off with my top 40 QB countdown. Join me as I count down from 40 ranking the NFL's most important position. #QB39 + #QB40 will be revealed TODAY đź‘€

#ConboyTop40QB
#QB40 - Mitchell Trubisky

Scraping into the top 40 is the #Bears starter for the last three seasons. Despite flashing positives in the playoff run campaign in 2018, Mitch has struggled to display this competitiveness consistently and now in comes Nick Foles to take his place...
#QB39 - Marcus Mariota

Jettisoned from Tennessee after Ryan Tannehill's heroics, Mariota faces a pivotal moment in his career. Now under the guidance of Jon Gruden in Las Vegas, he most prove he is more than just a capable backup and challenge Derek Carr for the starting role.
#QB38 - Jordan Love

First rookie on the list is the heir-apparent to Aaron Rodgers. He will sit on the bench initially, nonetheless the sky is the limit for Love in Green Bay. Impressive signs for Utah State, clearly the Packers brass envisage a clear progression plan, as do I.
#QB37 - Case Keenum

The league's perennial backup QB. Now with the #Browns, his fourth team in as many years; recognised as one of the NFL's better backups, it's not a bad tag to be labelled with. He offers reliance and resilient qualities, a solid if unspectacular year awaits.
#QB36 - Jarrett Stidham

With the #Patriots passing on a QB in the 2020 draft, Stidham becomes their de facto starter. Many questions marks linger with the now Brady-less Pats, with perhaps the biggest being his replacement. A rather up and down college career, is he NFL ready?
#QB35 - Tyrod Taylor

The best option the #Chargers have at QB. A slight concern as, for me, Tyrod does not rank amongst the top 32. It’ll be somewhat interesting to see how long a leash he is given before making way for Herbert - something we’ll all see play out on Hard Knocks.
#QB34 - Andy Dalton

Feasibly the biggest victim of the debacle that was the 2019 season for the #Bengals. Whilst he’s no longer the red rifle of past years, Dalton still possesses many tangiables to be a steady backup in the league. Doubtful he’ll see meaningful snaps in Dallas.
#QB33 - Gardner Minshew

Beating out Nick Foles for the starting role last year was a relatively easy task. Proving to be a capable starter for a full 16 game slate is another story. A team in full rebuild mode often spells danger for the incumbent QB, Trevor Lawrence for 2021?
#QB32 - Dwayne Haskins Jr.

A tough first year in Washington has seriously threatend the development of Haskins. He and the team will hope the arrival of new head coach Ron Rivera will allow for a new lease of life. Lack of weapons at WR are not helping the situation. Struggle.
#QB31 - Nick Foles

Super Bowl LII victory continues to feel more and more distant for Foles. His big payday for the Jags was a near disaster. A chance for a fresh start in 2020 with Chicago, he should get the better of Trubisky in training camp and hopefully kick on from there
#QB30 - Sam Darnold

One of the more curious young QBs in the NFL. Lamented for accuracy issues early in his career, he’s improved year on year and is now looking a more competent starter. Arguably, landing with the #Jets with a poor supporting cast is hindering his development.
#QB29 - Ryan Fitzpatrick

A journeyman in every sense of the word, Fitzmagic continues to be relevant year on year. His role this season completely depends on how healthy/ready Tua Tagovailoa is for the first stage of the season. Even if he doesn’t play, he’s the perfect mentor.
#QB28 - Jared Goff

A bumpy start to life in the NFL with Jeff Fisher hurt Goff’s career. He has improved since Sean McVay took him under his wing; this transformation is more a testament to McVay’s coaching talents. His genius can go only so far. Goff is holding this team back.
#QB27 - Tua Tagovailoa

If it wasn’t for an ugly hip injury and a certain LSU QB bursting onto the scene, we’d be talking about one of the most exciting prospects in recent years. Instead Tua will have to earn the limelight and see off any health concerns. Exciting times in Miami
#QB26 - Daniel Jones

A rebuild in full swing gives Jones the platform to lead this team to a bright future. New HC Joe Judge brings a breath of fresh air too. Offensive additions were scarce in the offseason, a development year coming up accompanied by a new coaching approach
#QB25 - Drew Lock

Some promising performances at the backend of 2019 has given the #Broncos reason to believe. This is a young offense at its core. Some bumps along the way are inevitable, but given the right guidance and coaching, Denver can be dangerous in years to come.
#QB24 - Teddy Bridgewater

Ex-Saints backup now becomes the undisputed starter in Carolina. The Panthers brass will be hoping to emulate the happier days from the Cam Newton era. Teddy is able to enjoy immediate success, as he looks to complete his first full 16 game season.
#QB23 - Derek Carr

Despite the offseason drama over Carr potentially getting replaced, he gets another turn to establish himself as a true franchise QB. The competition is hot behind Carr on the depth chart, if the results do not come, this might be the season DC hits the bench.
#QB22 - Joe Burrow

Perhaps the most highly touted QB to enter the league since Andrew Luck. The raw talent is there. With the right coaching, the sky is the limit. Burrow has no shortage of weapons either, A.J Green, Tee Higgins, Tyler Boyd to name a few. Positive signs in Cincy
#QB21 - Philip Rivers

A new lease of life for Phil, as he reunites with Frank Reich in Indy. Entering his age 38 season, questions were asked whether he still had it. The o-line in LA gave Rivers no help whatsoever; a complete change of fortune with the Colts. He’s not done yet.
#QB20 - Drew Brees

One final push for another SB win for Brees? Now aged 41, rumours will continue to gather more and more pace that Drew may call it quits after 2020. This is a stacked offence, an easy playoff bet for sure. Consistency all-round will be key in the postseason.
#QB19 - Jameis Winston

A tumultuous season to say the least last time out. Moving to a new team will do him the world of good. Now under the guidance of Drew Brees and Sean Payton, one of the game’s better coaches, this pair will aid Jameis leaving those 30 INTs in the past.
