Why I think Fred should start along side Pogba and Bruno for #mufc vs Sheffield United on Wednesday. A thread:

Sheffield United may be 7th in the PL however they are not a very attacking side. They have only scored 30 goals in 30 games this season. Only B’mouth, Palace, Watford, Newcastle and Norwich have scored less. They will most likely play very deep and defensive at OT.

This match will probably result in Man Utd having a lot of possession. We need creativity on the pitch. Fred has more touches, passes forward and pass completion then Matic and Mctominay and has created more big chances (3) than Mctominay and Matic combined.

We need to get possession back quickly in order to sustain attacks and put Sheffield under pressure. Matic does not get around the pitch as fast as Mctom and Fred. I would go for Fred as he has more blocks, tackles, tackles won and interceptions then Mctom.

I think if Pogba or Bruno helped out defensively we should be able to comfortably beat most teams that are not in the top 6. Fred will provide creativity from deep and allows us to win the ball back quickly and play at a faster speed then we would with someone like Matic playing.
