Ted Bundy.

A highly prolific American serial killer who kidnapped, raped, & murdered numerous young women and girls.

Unarguably the King of Psychopaths.
Ted Bundy was born Theodore Robert Cowell on November 24, 1946, to Eleanor Louise Cowell. His father's identity was never confirmed.
For the first 3 years of his life, he lived with his maternal grandparents, who raised him as their son to avoid the social stigma that accompanied birth outside of wedlock.
Family, friends, and even young Ted were told that his grandparents were his parents and that his mother was his older sister.

He eventually discovered the truth, although he had varied recollections of the circumstances.
Bundy expressed a lifelong resentment toward his mother for never talking to him about his real father, and for leaving him to discover his true parentage for himself.
Ted occasionally exhibited disturbing behavior at an early age. His sister recalled awakening from a nap to find herself surrounded by knives from the kitchen and Bundy standing by the bed smiling.
As a teenager, a darker side of his character started to emerge. Bundy liked to peer in other people's windows and thought nothing of stealing things he wanted from other people.
Bundy graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in psychology in 1972. He had been accepted to law school in Utah, although he would never earn his degree.
He had a charming, carefully-crafted facade which was quite agreeable. He could tailor his facade to match what he thought would best suit him at a particular time.

How he presented himself depended on who he was interacting with and what position they were in.
He would tell people what he thought they wanted to hear, depending on what he might have been able to ascertain about them in advance.

He had a keen sense of how to put people at ease and make himself appear trustworthy, good and honest.
He appeared as someone of sound mind and morals.

He once worked for a suicide prevention hotline; his words alone saved people’s lives.

This was the Ted Bundy whom most met.
You would have liked him, confided your secrets in him. Depending on who you were, you might have helped him carry his books or accepted a ride from him in his Volkswagen.
Once he had you where he wanted you and could let his guard down, he was ruthless, sadistic, cruel.

He had no empathy for anyone, no true compassion, no feelings of remorse for hurting others and derived pleasure from the sense of power that being cruel gave him.
His favorite hobby was to rape and kill women and then have sex with their corpses.

He believed that he was way smarter and better than everybody else and that others were lesser life-forms for him to exploit and do as he pleased with, dead or alive.
In 1967, he became romantically involved with a classmate, Stephanie Brooks.

In early 1968 he dropped out of college & worked at a series of minimum-wage jobs.

He also became Arthur Fletcher's driver & bodyguard during Fletcher's campaign for Governor of Washington.
Shortly thereafter, Stephanie ended their relationship and returned to her family home in California, frustrated by what she described as Ted's immaturity and lack of ambition.
Psychiatrist Dorothy Lewis would later pinpoint this crisis as "probably the pivotal time in his development".

Devastated by Stephanie' rejection, he traveled, visiting relatives in Arkansas and Philadelphia and enrolling for one semester at Temple University.
During a trip to California in 1973, Ted Bundy rekindled his relationship with Stephanie.

She marveled at his transformation into a serious, dedicated professional who was seemingly on the cusp of a legal and political career.
He matriculated at UPS Law School, and continued dating Stephanie, who visited him several times to stay with him. They discussed marriage; at one point.
In January 1974, however, he abruptly broke off all contact. Her phone calls and letters went unreturned.

Finally reaching him by phone a month later, Stephanie demanded to know why he had unilaterally ended their relationship without explanation.
In a calm voice, he replied, "Stephanie, I have no idea what you mean" and hung up. She never heard from him.

He later explained, "I just wanted to prove to myself that I could have married her".

😁😂
Stephanie concluded that he had deliberately planned the entire courtship and rejection in advance as vengeance for the breakup she initiated in 1968.

Ted was that petty.
Shortly after midnight on January 4, 1974 (around the time that he terminated his relationship with Stephanie), he entered the basement apartment of 18-year-old Karen Sparks, a dancer.

He hit her with a heavy metal rod.
After bludgeoning her with the metal rod, he sexually assaulted her with the rod (used the rod in form of penis) causing extensive internal injuries. She remained unconscious for 10 days, but survived with permanent physical and mental disabilities.
During the first half of 1974, female college students disappeared at the rate of about one per month.

Detectives from the Seattle police departments grew increasingly concerned.
There was no significant physical evidence, and the missing women had little in common, apart from being young, attractive, white college students with long hair parted in the middle.
On September 2, he raped and strangled a hitchhiker in Idaho, then returned the next day to photograph and dismember the corpse.

On October 2, he seized 16-year-old Nancy Wilcox, raped & killed her, had sex with her corpse before dismembering her dead body into parts.
On October 18, Melissa Anne Smith, the 17-year-old daughter of the police chief disappeared after leaving to get pizza.

Her naked corpse was found in a nearby mountainous area nine days later.
On October 31, Laura Aime, also 17, disappeared after leaving a café just after midnight. Her naked body was found by hikers. Autopsy showed she had been beaten, raped, sodomized, and strangled with nylon stockings.
Bundy had his postmortem rituals with the corpses of these women, including hair shampooing and application of makeup before having sex with their corpses.
He went on to kill women who by and large looked very similar to Stephanie, his ex, so it can be said that he was almost killing her over and over again.

He loved her enough not to kill her but to kill women that look like her.

Poetic.
In 1975, he shifted much of his criminal activity from his base in Utah to Colorado.
On January 12, a 23-year-old nurse named Caryn Campbell disappeared while walking down the hallway between the elevator and her room.
Her naked body was found a month later next to a dirt road just outside the resort.

She had been killed by blows to her head from a blunt instrument that left distinctive linear grooved depressions on her skull; her body also bore deep cuts from a sharp weapon.
On March 15, ski instructor Julie, 26, disappeared while walking from her apartment to a dinner date with a friend. He raped her daily for 2 weeks. Killed & dumped her dismembered body afterwards.

Weeks later, he made a 6-hour drive to revisit her remains. Had sex with it. đŸ€ź
On May 6, Bundy lured 12-year-old Lynette Culver. He drowned her in a nearby lake, took her dead body to his hotel room and then sexually assaulted her, before disposing of her body in a lake.

A 12-year-old.
In September 1975, Bundy decided to get baptized, cos he felt God would forgive him for his killings.

He wanted the forgiveness, so he could open a fresh chapter of killings. đŸ€Ą đŸ€Ą

He got baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Bundy continued kidnapping, raping & killing women.

It gave him joy to see them beg for their lives, having sex and ejaculating into their "chill" vaginas gave him extra pleasure.

This, he confessed.
Later that year, Bundy was arrested in the kidnapping of Carol DaRonch, one of the few women to escape his clutches. He was convicted and received a one-to-15-year jail sentence.

He escaped prison.
Bundy escaped from prison twice in 1977. The first time, was during a trip to the courthouse library, he jumped out a window and made his first escape.

He was captured eight days later.
After a few months, he escaped from custody again.

He climbed out of a hole he made in the ceiling of his cell, having dropped more than 14kg to fit through the small opening.
After his second escape from prison, he eventually made his way to Florida.

On January 14, 1978, he broke into a sorority house at Florida State University. He attacked 4 of the young female residents, killing two of them.
On February 9, he kidnapped, raped and murdered a 12-year-old girl named Kimberly.

He cut her into two.
These crimes marked the end of his murderous rampage, as he was soon arrested by the police that February.
His good looks, charm and intelligence made him something of a celebrity during his trial.
He fought for his life but was convicted and spent nine years on death row appealing his death sentence.

He was his own attorney.
He appealed, trying to take his case as high as the U.S. Supreme Court, but he was turned down.

He also offered information on some of unsolved murders to avoid Florida's electric chair, but he could not delay justice forever and was executed in 1989.
Bundy's body was cremated, and no public ceremony was held.

Before he was executed he requested his ashes be scattered in the Cascade Mountains of Washington State, where he murdered at least four of his victims.

😂😂
There you have it.
A man that mastered the art of manipulating women and murdered over 39.

Authorities said he killed close to 100 women.
