The state and government have a monopoly on money, weapons, media, education, it is involved in every aspect of life as the family has been decentralized while means of living is centralized (grid). There are pros and cons to modern living, I'm not saying it's all bad

We're not going to get a utopia, people are fallible and that is what it is. We probably won't get peace either; but we can try to create solutions based on knowledge of what to expect and why. We can defend ourselves with that knowledge. Nobody is immune to influence

Morality and utility are the compass for actions. We can't get everyone on board with doing the right thing for morality sake but we can understand how the system is designed to reward bad behaviors and punish good.
