oh i still have a linkedin account under my deadname?? kinda wanna chew out the people i knew in college for helping keep me in the closet and wouldn& #39;t mind burning any last bridges i have to academic or public sector work

everyone i went to school with has still been updating their linkedins this pandemic which tells me everything i need to know: these were never my people. i was right all along to sense i never belonged there

if we& #39;re mutuals on here and you post a lot about academic/public works topics please don& #39;t take this personally but i& #39;d rather spend every single day of the rest of my working life with food service workers

to be clear this is not a "i& #39;d rather do [unenjoyable thing]" bit. i sincerely think modern academia and state/state-adjacent institutions create poorly-adjusted adults
