Tyler, The Creator's Flower Boy : a thread

Likes & RT's are appreciated.
In a lot of ways this album is like Tyler anew, while his gritty, deep rapping voice is still there, the beats on this album are so much more mellow and pleasant than on Cherry Bomb (not a fan of that one, honestly).
Even without Tyler's continuous hints about his sexuality, this album really does come as almost a surprisingly mature effort, and the emotions expressed here as well as Tyler's sonic palette are both equally varied.
The mixing here for one is a lot better than on Cherry Bomb, and the instrumentals generally have a really bright feel to them that makes it perfect to listen to under a tree or something like that. Garden Shed & Boredom are two of the best examples of that.
Also very soothing to listen to are the tracks See You Again & Where This Flower Blooms, both complete with incredible guest singing. The second of those tracks is just so upbeat that it genuinely makes me wanna take a run with a big smile on my face,if that makes sense.
Who Dat Boy is a pretty glaring exception to all the relaxed vibes on the album but it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb ; instead I think of it as a nice jolt to the senses, kinda like Pretty Sweet off of Blonde.
The sheer variety of feelings on the album is almost overwhelming at times ; Tyler's paranoid about how much longer he has in the spotlight and if his accountant is fucking him over, but he doesn't really seem to be letting it hinder him from enjoying life.
But I do think that the softest moments here are the most enjoyable. I love how,by shifting emphasis from his rapping to the features, he's created a pillowy atmosphere which generally is only provided by singers with long ranges and some kind of orchestral backing.
Guest-packed as it is,this never feels like anybody's album but Tyler's ; it's a lot like what Kanye did on MBDTF that way. And I do think that his continued innovation on Igor makes the Kanye comparison he gets actually hold water a little bit.
End thread. Like I said, RT's appreciated.
