BTS charity work and donations - a thread
In 2017, BTS and Unicef launched the ‘Love Myself’ campaign. The purpose of this campaign was to collect donations to support child and teen victims of violence, as well as encourage youth to find love within themselves as individuals.
In 2018, BTS were invited to the United Nations to expand on their ‘Love Myself’ campaign as part of the UNs ‘Generation Unlimited’ project.
BTS donated $1 Million to Crew Nation, which supports live-entertainment personnel impacted by COVID-19.
BTS donated $1 Million to Black Lives Matter.
BTS donated 100 Million Won to help support families of the Sewol Ferry tragedy.
Hoseok donated 100 Million Won to Jeonnam Girls’ Commercial High School in South Korea.
Hoseok donated 150 Million Won to ChildFund Korea.
Namjoon donated 100 Million Won to the Seoul Samsung School for students with hearing impairments.
Yoongi donated 100 Million Won to the Korea Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
In 2014, Yoongi promised to buy fans meat if he becomes a successful artist. 4 years later, he donated beef to 39 Korean orphanages under the name of ‘ARMY’.
Yoongi donated 100 Million Won to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association.
Jimin paid for new school uniforms for every student at his old elementary school, as well as donating new desks to his high school.
Jimin donated 100 Million Won to the Busan Metropolitan City Office Of Eduction.
Seokjin donated over 100 Million Won to Unicef Korea.
