Holy shit I can tweet again! I spent the past seven days in Twitter jail because of this message I sent to Buzz Aldrin regarding our current commander in chief:
This is why I’d been silent on #SpeakingOut — I literally couldn’t publicly chime in, nor could I amplify the stories of others. Expect me to start doing that now. (Better late than never.)
So! A couple of things to address:
1. My editor in chief at @WithSpandex was one of many people named by the pro wrestling community #SpeakingOut.
2. As such, the vertical has been suspended until further notice.
3. There is supposed to be a public statement from @UPROXX soon.

4. I haven’t seen it, so I don’t know what it says.
5. I personally couldn’t post anything on With Spandex even if I wanted to, as my account doesn’t have permissions to take stories live. (An editor has to flip the switch for anything I write.)
6. At the start of all this...

6. At the start of all this...
6. (contd) ...there was a brief period where we discussed internally how to cover all the allegations, but I personally did not feel comfortable covering the stories unless that meant we covered *all* the stories, which would include the accusations toward our editor in chief.
7. Given that UPROXX was aware by that point and was beginning an HR investigation, I felt it best to go dark while everything got sorted out on a corporate level. I did not anticipate it would take this long. I am sorry for not covering the stories of Joey Ryan, Ligero, etc.
8. That “etc” 100% includes Brandon Stroud, who is not only my boss but also my friend. The vast majority of what has come out these past few days was information previously unknown to me. However, I spent the entire weekend talking to people who had been involved with Brandon...
...who haven’t yet shared their stories publicly, and many details line up with those of people who have. It’s clear to me this was a pattern of behavior dating back years. I never saw it because I was never meant to experience it. My friend was a predator, and I didn’t know.
To all the victims of Brandon Stroud: You have my unwavering support. #SpeakingOut
