Thread: Travel experience from Delhi to Tamil Nadu.

Booked my flight ticket to Coimbatore from Delhi on 23rd. As per the existing rules I must get an e-pass to enter TN. In order to get an e-pass I must show a valid ticket (1/n)
The same day when I got my flight tickets I applied for the e-pass. Except for my horoscope the form asked for everything. My address, whether my home had a room with a toilet, who'll pick me up from airport, car details in which pickup will happen etc etc (2/n)
I applied for the e-pass at 11 PM. By next day morning I received the e-pass in my mail along with an acknowledgement SMS (1/3)
Now comes the interesting part.
Immediately after that I received a call from collectorate of my home district to confirm the details. Within am hour thereafter I received another call from the municipality commissioner office in my home town to confirm the details - again (1/4)
Today was my flight. Experience in the Delhi airport was relatively smooth. The airline workers and the airport tried the best to make it hassle free. It is the insensitivity of the people which caused the trouble. No social distancing. No common sense. Scary.
Landed in Coimbatore airport. Happened to witness the same Indian routine of crowding the aisle as soon as the aircraft touched the ground, in spite of constant advice by the cabin crew to the contrary 🤦‍♂️
On arrival there was an army of workers to guide us through the procedure. All I had to do was to fill up a form. Have a seal in my hand to show my quarantine status. Temperature check. General advisory. I was free to go.
On my way home from airport, on multiple checkpoints I had to provide my travel details before reaching home.
A few hours ago I received a call from local authority to check for my health status. So far the experience had been good, hassle free, no anxious moments. Shall update the course of development in this thread.
