Hey can I tell you guys a story about my last girlfriend?
As some of you guys know, I’m a battle rapper. (Yes, kinda like 8 mile🤦🏾‍♂️) So let’s go back about 2 years exactly to this day. There was this huge battle rap event in Houston that I went to with my sister.
Around this same time, my beautiful girlfriend was going to see her mom in Branson, MO. She was coming from Hallsville, TX and I was coming from Little Rock, AR. So we both had a bit of traveling to do.
Side note: we had only been together about a month and a half at this point and we didn’t see each other much so it was like the Honeymoon phase dialed to 1000!! The love we shared around this time was unparalleled it felt like.
Anyway, we were both on the road at the same time. Completely unplanned. I guess it’s just how the universe worked that day. And you know couples now have each other’s location on cuz we’re all just a lil crazy😂😂
So basically, I’m riding in the backseat and Meghan sends me this
After she sent that I called her cuz I don’t like people texting and driving. I actually literally got on her ass about that a few message prior.
Anyway, turns out that she was headed in my direction! So I’m looking out the window as anxious as ever looking for her white Range Rover!!
Finally I see her roll by and she sees me. And she was on the other side of the divider so we really couldn’t just stop to visit but that quick glimpse of her car was enough for me. God! It felt so good to see her. She was already the love of my life even then.
I tell that story to say this....on March 26, 2020 the love of my life died in a car accident about 11 miles from that very spot we had that amazing memory at 2 years ago...
I honestly may never get over it and I haven’t necessarily been coping in the most constructive ways but one way I do is by reading through our old message. Usually it makes me laugh and gives me great vibes. This one didn’t tho
Not only did it remind me of one of my greatest memories. It reminded me of how reckless BOTH of us were as drivers. And I say both because I can be hypocritical at times. I don’t always practice what I preach but now I have no choice.
Moral of the story guys, please drive safe and don’t be reckless on the road. Any message, post, video, etc can wait. I promise it can wait.
And just for CLARIFICATION, I highly doubt Meghan was driving reckless when she had her accident for one reason. Our son was in the car and she DID NOT PLAY when it came to his safety. She loved him more than life itself
And yes...he’s still here with us. THANK GOD!
