If you voted for Brexit and shafted your fellow UK citizens but have availed of an EU passport by using my country (Ireland) as a flag of convenience, please do us all a favour and just shut the fuck up forever.

Thanks and have a nice day.
They& #39;re usually the kind of people who think having Irish ancestry rather déclassé - "piss-poor potato refugees, darling" - but are not above sniffing out a Celtic gene or two to ensure their own rights remain unaffected.

I think Irish rules on this are lax and sentimental.
Many of these people don& #39;t give a flying fuck about Ireland (as their voting patterns and continued support for this disaster capitalist coup demonstrate). Why should they be extended the privilege of citizenship of a country about which they know nothing and care less?
So no simpering "welcome to the family" or "céad míle fáiltes" from me, I& #39;m afraid.

Rights should come with responsibilities.

As far as I& #39;m concerned, they can all do one.
I mean, handing out citizenship rights to all and sundry who can disinter a single Irish-born grandparent? Give me a break.

Irish citizenship rules are LONG OVERDUE a rigorous re-examination. Our generosity is being abused.
