Part 1. As a woman in games I have put up with a lot, been in this industry for 10 years. I have tried to help women who have been assaulted and worse. I talk with them and try to get them to a place where they can reach out and get professional help.
part 2. Been told I& #39;m not good enough, grabbed by male coworkers, I had a games director try to get into my room (while I was drunk) at GamesCom, been told I should just go and have babies with my partner because I didn& #39;t have what it takes to make it...
Part 3. I can& #39;t count how many times I& #39;ve been told I am not as good as my male coworkers but that& #39;s OK because I& #39;m a woman and they don& #39;t expect me to be as good.
Part 4. If you are a woman artist or identify as one and you want to get into games I will give you a folio review. Because I& #39;m sad, angry, tired and I want to try and make a difference in this industry. #WomenInGames #VisibleWomen
Part 5. That game director I mentioned. Had been topping up my glass all night, I thought I was safe, but didn& #39;t notice till I was too drunk to do anything about it. I managed to slam the door in his face, I called my partner at 3 in the morning in tears. I was scared & alone.
Part 6. My very first experience with #DnD was with this game director. Before I even got to say a word in the first session, he had married my character off to an NPC he controlled, he described their sex lives & hi wife was at the table. I didn& #39;t play #DnD again for 6 years.
Part 7. I went to my senior when this all got to be too much. I broke down and told him everything. To his fucking credit, he listened and asked if he could talk to the AD about it and I said yes. Not one of them doubted me. I was one of the lucky ones. #VisibleWomen
