Since #boycottwetherspoons is trending again, thought I’d debunk whats ACTUALLY been happening.
• I, and everyone else available for furlough, have been paid this entire time (1/?)

• He allowed us ‘fast track’ jobs in Tesco so that we can earn extra money during this time. Nobody was sacked. Everyone who did so will be welcomed back on the 4th if they so choose. (2/?)

• Nobody is, or has ever, forced you to go to Wetherspoons. In fact I encourage you to go support your local. They need the money more.
• If you have symptoms or feel unwell/scared about returning to pubs. Don’t go. That’s okay. (3/?)

I’m sick and tired of seeing people claiming we have all been sacked or left unpaid. This was debunked a while ago but people continue to share this misinformation. Please educate yourself before posting about it :) stay safe everyone (4/4)
