Well, it was no intention to irrate, but seems to be an unintented side effect. My only reason for engaging in this thread is that your tone departed heavily from the usual message of your tweets. Whether LJ, or geo-politics, or other topics, you're anti-victimhood, you've /1 https://twitter.com/AgentSaffron/status/1274994420501315587
advocated "individual agency" for Indians at large, Hindus in particular. That was missing in this. First, framing a US citizen working in interests of his compatriots is racist? Not a mature way to go. No nation is obligated in that respect to as to offer employment to others /2
Such accusations are not above leftists crying victimhood for reasons beyond reason/control. Second, is the persistent framing of those immigration/visa programmes as some kind of 'saviour' for Indians (not just Hindus, BTW). This is also flawed thinking as a whole. /3
I have agreed with you, whenever you have advocated for holding one's ground and pushed for self-fulfilment/upliftment. In this thread, the framing was in alarmist/defeatist tones, where handouts are expected and necessary, instead of the usual one of encouragement. /4
Two days ago, you said we must stand alone if necessary, in civilisational battles. Same thought holds here too? Meant to convey: if they've decided to favour their citizens, we should also do a South Korean style protectionism here & develop our industries with our citizenry"./5
