This is a thread for any POC who& #39;s not black, but supports all lives matter instead of black lives matter
To start off, ik I don& #39;t have much of a following on here but I just wanted to share my opinion on this topic. Being an American Filipino with two immigrant parents made me realize something about this topic. I also know that I& #39;m a teenager, and some might
Argue that my "decision making is still flawed". But even if that& #39;s the case it& #39;s not hard to realize what happening to black people is completely fucked up. Now, I have a parent who believes in All Lives Matter instead of Black Lives Matter. I think the
Reason why my parent feels this way is because they feel like Filipinos get discriminated and hated on as well. And that& #39;s true, Filipinos do face discrimination as well. And I think that& #39;s how a lot of poc who support ALM feel as well. But if you truly
Believed that "All Lives Matter" you would be supporting the BLM movement, you would be trying to help your fellow poc, you would be trying to help all of the innocent lives in Yemen, you would be fighting for LGBTQ+ rights. But the thing is, your not.
You don& #39;t believe that "All Lives Matter" you believe that your race isn& #39;t getting the attention it deserves and your salty about it. The reason why were so caught up on black lives is because 1) they& #39;re the most targeted by police and don& #39;t get justice
2) They& #39;ve faced GENERATIONS of systemic racism due to slavery. 3) We& #39;ve been fighting about this for years and y& #39;all still don& #39;t wanna listen. So we& #39;re gonna try to put an official end to this before it keeps going from generation to generation.
Have other poc who are not black faced discrimination and racism for generations? Of course, that& #39;s y there& #39;s so many racist stereotypes of poc that are still being used/joked about today. But as of right now, black people NEED YOU TO FIGHT WITH THEM.
This isn& #39;t political at all, these are basic human rights. This also ties in with the LGBTQ+ community as well. My parent is also very religious in Christianity and is homophobic. If your Christian you should believe that you should love your neighbor.
You should believe that God made them the way they are, that God has a plan for them. If you& #39;re hating on God& #39;s creation, what does that say about you? I& #39;ve also seen that the verse that explains about homophobia, was actually meant for pedophilia. I haven& #39;t
Really looked into that, but even if it was or wasn& #39;t changed into talking about homophobia you should still be supportive of the LGBTQ+ community. Jesus was friends with the people no one cared about. He gave love to the poor, the discriminated, the people
Everyone saw as losers. As a child, I was CONSTANTLY preached this. I was always told that Jesus gave love and hope. So why are you hating on a whole community? Why do you feel the need to express hatred towards an abundance of people who only love the people
They love? I know this thread got a little bit unrelated at the end but I just really need a lot of people to understand this. Please stay aware and educate yourselves <3
