Every time I see this screenshot I want to grind my teeth into dust and throw it into my own eyes, wHaT aBoUt bLaCk oN bLaCk cRimE ok what about it you fucking clown? Do you want the most absolute basic primer on this shit? 1/
Redlining & white flight pushed black families into impoverished neighborhoods that had little to no upward mobility thru lack of well paying jobs due to higher wage businesses avoiding those areas, underfunded schools, & lack of generational wealth to name a few reasons 2/
Let's focus on education for a second actually, do you know where funding for schools comes from? No? It varies depending on the state but on avg around half comes from local property taxes. 3/
Now if your school just happens to be in a poor neighborhood, what do you suppose happens to the quality of education? I don't need to spell this out right? And do you think poor communities with underfunded schools are accumulating lots of wealth? 4/
Do you think these communities with underfunded schools and less jobs that pay enough to accumulate wealth (or really just much money at all) have much opportunity to heavily invest in themselves or shit, even have people move away as often? 5/
Less money and opportunity to invest in the community or leave it, redlining laws that established the trend of keeping black families from moving into neighborhoods that offered them more even if they could afford to move, those laws may be gone but the impact remains 6/
With all that prefacing out of the way let's state something obvious: Statistically, there's probably going to be more ingroup violence because uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wow those people are around each other more often you fucking dipshit gosh can you imagine that. 7/
"but what about white on white violence, why do my bullshit unsourced statistics say that isn't as bad" I hear your sloppy ass racist fingers starting to type, hmmm I dunno could it be that perhaps people in white communities have their needs met more??? 8/
Why do you think people commit crimes? Especially theft and violence? Could there perhaps be a chance that people whose needs are met don't have as much motivation for crime? Is there a chance people whose needs AREN'T met resort to crime more often? Much to think about!! 9/
Of course all that philosophy aside, we're ignoring the fact that white people aren't prosecuted at the same rates as black people (b/c racism), and also white neighborhoods aren't policed as heavily (b/c racism) so wow who would've guessed, less crime is reported there! 10/
Now what motivation could police have for patrolling poor communities where people are more likely to be convicted of crimes and go to prison longer hmmmmmm, I'm sure there's some kind of reason, it's on the tip of my tongue uhhhhhhhhhhhh hmmmmmmm gosh I dunno 11/
I don't want to hear shit about black on black crime, you know where those figures come from? Racism and capitalism. Structural violence and systematic oppression. Racist white capitalism is the instigator. 12/
We freed the slaves but kept slavery legal in prison, kicked black families out of communities with wealth and opportunity and banned them from them, relegated them to poorer areas with shit jobs, less education and less chance to build save any money to get out. 13/
White america did that to the black community, black people aren't genetically predisposed to crime and violence, america fucking afflicted them with desperate material conditions and we turn around and blame them for it bro shut the fuck up about black on black crime. 14/
Talk about this like you're some patriot concerned for the purity of the fabric of our nation. fuck that noise, the fabric of america was woven with blood and shit, you don't even know your own fucking history. 15/
I haven't even read up on all of this as much as I would like to yet, this is all shit I know from listening to black people and doing the most low effort Google searches and I still know more than you dogshit racist ghouls. 16/
The US did this to the black community, it isn't some cosmic mystery or phrenology lesson, the implication that black people (and by extension the BLM movement) are just inherently more violent is fucking revolting. 17/
racism did this, capitalism did this, police and the slavery of prison labor did this. Imagine if instead of investing in police we invested in social workers and mental health resources that de-escalated and even prevented crime? 18/
Imagine if instead of capitalism funnelling and concentrating wealth in the hands of the few, everyone's needs were met and crime had less motivation from material conditions? That doesn't just benefit the black community btw, that benefits EVERYONE. 19/
None of this just came out of thin fucking air, there's an entire history to it, there's intentional systematic purpose behind it. There's a trail of bullshit laws, blood, violence, privilege, and greed that leads back to white hands so shut the absolute fuck up. 20/
