Time to have a thread about what a garbage company @everymanjack is. They're utilizing some of the most abusive anti-patterns I've ever witnessed and I've been a customer since freaking 2012.
The TL;DR of this thread is that EMJ is brazenly hiding the fact that they are signing you up for a subscription service when you order a trial pack.
Okay, so stage one of their funnel is an email that advertises a great value prop, spend $8 to get an msrp of $23 of product. The email gives some marketing fluff, then follows with 4 different trial packs you can get for $8.
You could argue that the "trail" language is hinting at a subscription, but that's a super weak association. If you scroll further down the page you'll see the *literal only mention* of a subscription on the page which mentions that you get hand sanitizer with any subscription.
Even had I scrolled this far (I didn't) I would have assumed it was referring to a different sales flow that I wasn't interested in.
You can follow @futureluddite.
