So every week, I've been giving myself a future to imagine, to build a story around, with as much detail as I can create, to help take the edge off these traumatic moments we're collectively sharing.
A couple of weeks ago, I was imagining what the future of healthcare will look and feel like when Black men and women and queer Black people are cared for with deep love on dignity.
And then, I saw this image.
And I started dreaming up what a health care center designed with and around the Black aesthetic for express purpose of Black healing would look like.
Anyway. A future for you to imagine.
This week, I'm imagining (again) what a Black tech company would look like. How it would be structured to be collectively owned. How Bossipy our git commits and embedded error messages would be.
Don't let these systems of oppression steal your imagination. If you can dream it, it is already real, so dream big.
Hold on to those imagined things. I'mma ask for them in a few months.
