This is just an observation of mine that I want to share with y’all. Allah SWT, through His wisdom, has made various things haram. These prohibitions are in place to protect and safeguard us from evil. When we disobey Allah SWT and engage in haram, we expose ourselves
to these evils. Instead of asking “why me?” when bad things happen as a result of engaging in haram, we should take these events as wake up calls to make istighfar and promise to never engage in such haram again. Our arrogance leads us to engage in the haram that Allah SWT
wants to protect us from, what did we expect? That bad things won’t happen? May Allah guide us all and keep us steadfast on His deen.
NB: This thread is primarily focused on the major sins such as riba, zina, shirk, consumption of alcohol, etc. However, it’s important to rmb that Allah’s mercy is greater than any sin, all we need to do is seek sincere forgiveness from Him.
