Council is discussing a proposal to create a permitting process for RVs in Redwood City. They plan to create an off-street and on-street parking location.
Councilman Bain is up, following a presentation of the proposal, community comment, and comments from Councilmembers Reddy and Borgen.
Councilman Bain points out that "it is incredibly hard." Cites cost of land, availability, environmental regulation, "and more".
Mentions that the council is trying to balance "extremely divergent" opinions.

Note that these "divergent" opinions are people who care about other people vs. people who think other people are a nuisance.
Councilwoman Aguirre up now. Mentions lots of "disinformation" about this issue; asks how the council is planning to communicate about this issue.
General vibe from @RedwoodCity council: anyone who disagrees with us is uninformed.
In response to some commenters' concerns that folks who are unhoused may not be able to provide comment, notes that the folks they surveyed were invited to this meeting.
Vice Mayor Masur up next, thanking those who created the proposal & who were involved. Apparently, they spent lots of hours creating this proposal. Does that mean it's good?
Points out that the council has had to balance the needs & interests of *all* of our community members. Emphasizes that they talked to people who live in RVs.
(Not quite "all lives matter", but not so far...)
