Why are white writers afraid of being able to write only white POV characters?

I think it’s a lot of things. A sense of entitlement to the whole world. A paternalistic idea that the stories of POC are somehow simpler or more worthy because they experience marginalization. Because everyone loves an underdog, and deep down we all know racially we are NOT that
White supremacist capitalism has made white culture superficial and lonely. We sacrificed the uniqueness of our varied ethnic heritages to fit into a a monolithic white empire. We’re consumerist oppressors—all we know how to do is feed on the oppressed, even in our art.
