Today in Puerto Rico's House of Representatives, @repjuniorperez of @pnp_pr says the N-word on the House floor. He also dropped a "whore" slur for good measure. Opposition legislator @manuelnatal asked for words to be removed from the legislative record but that didn't happen. https://twitter.com/PedroJulio/status/1275225412587700224
This was all about @repjuniorperez issuing a resolution to compare Luis Dávila Colón to Rosa Parks.

It also makes no mention of the fact that Luis Dávila Colón was fired by a private company for saying a slur on air.
The other example of @juliovnunez calling @wandavazquezg a "pig" in a deleted tweet (which is awful) is not 100% comparable bc Nuñez didn't work for a media company. He did apologize and deleted the tweet, but Dávila Colón supporters want to distract people from the basic fact.
BTW, that elected official who uttered the N-word on the floor of Puerto Rico's House of Representatives during a global movement for Black Lives also did this
At the same time this is going on in #PuertoRico, #JimmyKimmel is trending in the US because audio of him saying the N-word showed up today.

Here's a rule: hey non-Black people in both PR and US? Don't say the N-word.
This thread by @encarnajm94 shows more of what Rep. Luis Pérez Ortiz, especially the part where he compares Luis Dávila Colón to Rosa Parks, and oh yeah, says the N-word on the floor of Puerto Rico's House of Reprsenatives https://twitter.com/encarnajm94/status/1275215995079196672
