Legend of Korra is on CBS All Access!!!!
I want to be Korra
Watching Asami and Korra’s interactions in the first season while knowing how the series ends 😏🥰
Waterbenders can do way too much. I love that.
Oh, they started laying the foundations for Korrasami in Season 2!
You just know there was a period in Avatar history where some political faction was going around assassinating child Avatars left and right to create instability. It’s been danced around in three Avatar stories now (Aang, Korra, Kyoshi).
That and/or killing off Avatars to fast forward their nation’s place in the cycle.
Are all Avatars only children???
I think the Air Nomads became Air Nomads because they realized way, way back when that they controlled the most powerful, lethal element and, if they got involved in wars, it would be too easy to conquer the world.
I forgot about that one scene where 4 benders gang up on Tenzin 😢
I also really love this one scene and P’Li’s aesthetics are *peak*
(Quick shoutout to Ming-Hua, the badass waterbender with no arms, and another reason I love this show)
Honestly, the fight scenes in the last third of Season 3 are incredible. Watching all these highly trained, highly skilled, ultra-talented benders go at it in such a high stakes battle...the animation is stunning and it’s so clear all the rules of bending were well thought out.
Korra is a POWERFUL bender, and the show isn’t afraid to show that power or give her a physique that complements it. Other characters comment on how strong and muscular she is. Just in general, the women are more powerful and capable benders than the men on this show.
