Got an e-mail from @amavictoria yesterday congratulating me for being a consultant, recognized by doctors in training, who encourages them to claim overtime
I should be happy. Really happy to be recognized but instead I am livid.

I was one of only 4 consultants nominated by over 3000 DiT!

What the heck are the rest of the consultants doing?

Are they blind to the work junior medical staff are doing?
It is not as if overtime pay is coming out of their wallets. If someone does the job they should get paid for it.

If they are overworked then they should help.
I see overworked med regs every day. What are their consultants doing to lighten the load?

I say that as one of the few specialities that does a full day of weekend work.
I see speciality registrars and residents that have not had time to have even a cup of tea. Do their bosses know this?

Am I the only one that knows how to make a cuppa for them (or provide a diet coke if that is their preference @dr_ashwitt)?
