i read a good tweet tht made me think abt my oc jasper and abt how his biggest strength but also his biggest flaw is his loyalty. hes so desperate to Belong Somewhere tht his loyalty left him (mostly) blind to the fact that nearly everyone... (apparently this is a thread now) /1

he knew his whole life only kept him around bcus he was Useful, and even when hes realised it it's just been... okay bcus what else does he have? jasper had spent a good 200+ yrs doing questionable things n putting himself in danger for people like tht bcus they gave him a way /2

out of a worse situation. n it wasnt necessarily all bad, but he flat out refuses that he could possibly be Good bcus of what hes been told his whole life, even though his base instincts are "protect everyone you care about and those that cant protect themselves" /3

im sorry im just v babey when i think abt my boy jasper bcus he deserves so much and he thinks "idk maybe i deserve the bare minimum... maybe" even though he cares so fiercely, even if hes a big ol goof abt it and has no idea how to express himself even in a platonic way /4

he stores all of his emotions in his muscles its why theyre so big, his rage actually comes from his fierce need to protect anyone important to him, not bc hes angy even tho he acts like a big grumpy bastard /5

also fun note but i was thinking abt jasper the other day n i came to the sudden realisation tht.... he was so young when whatever happened w his family happened and he was separated(?) from them n left to the streets tht theres no way he ever remembered his ~real~ name /6

i think he may have known it at one point but its highly likely tht bcus he lived so long without using it it just didnt matter any more, it wasnt important information so why remember it? so his name, Jasper Roscoe, is definitely one that he stole from someone else lol /7

i have a lovely sad story behind his name now but im not tellin' that yet bcus im probably gonna portray it in comic format at some point /8

i'd apologise for rambling about jasper this much but he's my best oc and i care him i might just keep this thread and add to it any time i have a Good Thought about Jas /9
