No, I don't "hope this isn't true."

What I hope for is the truth to be exposed and for the Club to explain themselves. I hope the woman is given the justice she deserves.

A really, really dark day. It shouldn't take six months for this to come to light.
It's pretty easy to ignore this kind of thing about a player we like. It's easier to send a joke or to not say anything.

But, if we do nothing, then the people in the replies to her tweets win. We can't let that happen. We must seek justice and truth.
Apologies for being vague. There's credible sexual assault allegations against Naby Keita, a footballer I'm quite fond of.

Liverpool fans can't just say those who joke about this matter "aren't real fans."

That's the problem. They are. We need to square up with that fact.
A club the size of Liverpool is more than just the corporation that happens to own the team. We must hold the player & the club accountable if they swept this under the rug.

If they knew about this and kept it quiet, heads must roll.

That may include people we like.
