Today’s featured characteristic is #Objectivity.

A hallmark of #WhiteSupremacyCulture is that there is such a thing as being #objective.

“ the belief that emotions are inherently destructive, irrational, and should not play a role in decision-making or group process

invalidating people who show emotion”/2

assume that everybody has a valid point and your job is to understand what that point is”/END

This is also used at the basis of discrediting and dismissing people of color especially women of color’s perspectives. Think abt tropes of the “angry Black woman” and the “emotional Latina”. #ObjectivityDoesNotExist
