ive wanted to make this thread for years now. ive been terrified because he has such a HUGE following and i know some of his fans will support him no matter what and try to justify his behavior. i also just didn't wanna receive any hate for talking about this

but since some new drama has surfaced and people are FINALLY starting to recognize shane for the racist pedophile that he is, it's time for this thread to be made. buckle up bitches this is gonna be an ADVENTURE

okay so first off, i used to be a fan of shane. in fact i used to be subscribed to him for years and absolutely loved his content. it wasn't until he started making the conspiracy videos that i started noticing just how problematic and insensitive he really is

i guess the first thing i should address is how overdramatic and overacted his newer videos are. when shane starts talking about really heavy subjects, he tends to put on this "sad face" and act super hurt and surprised by whatever he's talking about

being empathetic and feeling sorry about certain things is fine. but the way shane goes about it, it literally seems like he's acting. for instance, when he made a video about the california wildfires that happened over a year ago. he literally went to neighborhoods where there -

were burned down houses, and walked around broadcasting everyone's personal and private belongings that were now ruined. the purpose of this was to support his conspiracy that the wildfires were intentional. regardless of whether or not the wildfires were on purpose, it is -

extremely insensitive and inconsiderate to walk around other people's homes and belongings that they just lost, and are probably really traumatized over... just so you can get good footage for your conspiracy video... it's just disrespectful and i doubt he got permission from -

any of the people whose homes and belongings he displayed in his video. if you want to talk about a conspiracy, fine do that. but there was really no need to go that far and edit it in a really dramatic and pitiful way. it's taking away from their trauma and loss

can we also talk about how annoying it is that he overedits his videos to look extra scary/creepy when that is completely unnecessary and sometimes gives off the wrong idea about certain topics

for example, in the jake paul series he literally talks about mental illness consistently yet edits the videos to look like they're straight out of a horror movie... which only continues to feed people the idea that anyone with mental illnesses are "bad" or "scary"

he also mentions that some youtubers (logan paul for example) edit their videos a certain way to appeal to a certain emotion that they want their audience to feel, and implies that that could be because they are a sociopath. when shane literally does the same thing?

in the video above ^ with the wildfires, he plays sad music when he shows all the burned down trees. it's literally just editing. idk how he jumped from editing a video to sociopathy? but he really needs to be careful with the information he's sharing and how he shares it

(if anything, shane is probably the one who edits his videos the MOST to specifically illicit a certain feeling out of his viewers. but that's also what editing is... in movies they do it, in shows they do it. it doesn't mean you're a sociopath?)

shane did address the fact that he edits his videos a little too much sometimes, but he still continues to do it anyway? so

not to mention he says in the video ^ that he's not trying to diagnose jake, but then goes out of his way to bring in a "therapist" to evaluate jake without his knowledge and see if he does show sociopathic tendencies. what's the point of doing that if you're not diagnosing him?

i put "therapist" in quotes because 1. the woman literally admits to not knowing much about this subject. she specializes in eating disorders & self injury & 2. idk any doctor or therapist that would evaluate & inspect someone without their given consent or knowledge but ... okay

she also had never met or spoken to jake before that, only knew about him through his videos & the media, & she was already kind of jumping to the conclusion that jake shows sociopathic tendencies... completely unprofessional in my opinion but it's not my field of expertise so

some also say he is part to blame for all of the tati & james charles drama. he helped instigate a lot of it & bullied james really badly (allegedly almost to the point of suicide) but it wasn't JUST shane. here's a video talking about all of that

now onto the more extreme stuff... im not gonna say anything im just gonna post the receipts and let you decide for yourself if this is the kind of influencer you wanna keep supporting

a lot of his fans will defend this behavior by saying he was "joking" & "he did all of this when that kind of comedy wasn't looked down on like it is now" & "it's dark humor" & so on. it's not funny. none of those excuses justify it. just admit that he was ignorant & racist & go
