Oh my gosh I'm going to forget someone if I do this, but I'm almost crying just at the thought of how many writers--especially romance writers--have been generous and kind. I would have never published without them. I would've quit long since without them. https://twitter.com/ErikaSwyler/status/1274823529813377025
Okay so I'm going to start with @NickiSalcedo. I don't know why she puts up with me, but I'm eternally grateful that she does.
GRW folks who helped me out of kindness: @stephaniebond, Haywood Smith, Carmen Green, Nancy Knight, @MissyTippens, @DebbyGiusti, @SusanCarlisle1
Did y'all know that the other day Jeanette Cogdell made me a mask with cows just cuz? Or that @tracybrogan sent me flowers earlier this year just because I was having a bad day?
I mean @RomilyBernard and @jenmcqwrites were there at the beginning. And @TanyaMichaels has been with me through so, so much.
@TrishMilburn has seen me cry at least one time too many, and she is a fierce champion. @VanessaRiley is beyond kindness. She has helped me with my website and a pen design and didn't get mad when I messed up her coffee maker.
I can't express my gratitude to @Sharon_Cooper1 enough. Someday we're going to do that presentation together, Sharon.
My Fiction from the Heart authors are truly from the heart: @writerjamiebeck, Liz Talley, @barbaraoneal, @KwanaWrites, @PrisOliveras, @AuthorFalguni, @HopeRamsay, and @VirginiaKantra, who was one of the first authors I met at my first ever conference.
We gotta talk a minute about @Sonali_Dev who kindly took my mad rantings of love about A Bollywood Affair then opened her home to me and shared her chai.
Y'all, @Laforesta1 checks on me constantly. She is an excellent dinner companion as is @Brenda_Lowder, another sweetheart.
@Kristan_Higgins surprised me in New York with a much needed hug, and I'm cherishing that for a good long while.
@sarahmaclean was kind to me when I was a nobody at the Avon party, and it was an honor to share a stage with her in AL this year. Same to @Naima_Simone who is just a joy.
@authorMsBev has been nothing but kindness to put up with my fan-girling.
Did I tell you about the time @tessgerritsen answered a fan letter that I wrote while under the influence of NyQuil? So that happened.
Or that @totallydonna, whose presence is a present, gave me an O'Kane flask?
Jo Beverly put up with a newbie author who should've know who she was but didn't. That same conference, @Sally_MacKenzie kindly allowed me to create a silly hashtag.
@DrenzPen has answered a lot of my stupid questions over the years and has also shared a flaming adult beverage with me.
Speaking of, @megcabot bought me a glass of wine at the last conference, and that's a story I can take with me to the grave.
It was a pleasure to talk about gummies with @FarrahRochon and @PhyllisBourne. Phyllis also just got me through some stressful times with her novella Jinx.
Oh my goodness. Who am I forgetting? I know I'm forgetting people, and I don't like it. Mercy.
I'm going to be adding to this thread for the next 10 years.
@Jamie_Wesley has a hug for me each time I see her. @KimberlyKincaid survived rooming with me at Barbara Vey.
Come to think of it, @VanessaRiley roomed with me in Napa. She shared her convertible with me.
@EmilyDCarpenter, @KimberlySBelle, @kimberlydbrock, and Susan Sands are local authors who've laughed with me.
OMG @JoshilynJackson stopped her own book signing to introduce me and then let me have drinks with her. That's an author achievement unlocked right there.
@deannaraybourn let me name a llama after her. She probably should've run screaming, but I appreciate that she didn't.
I have to eat supper and then finish cleaning my house, but there there will be more.
