The fact is everything prior to yesterday, pretty much every monument ever made, was built by some form or racism, ethnocentric ideology, or plain ignorance. If you want to burn down church monuments for that reason, then we need to burn everything every created. https://twitter.com/shaunking/status/1275106946916499456
You want to wipe out everything and destroy it because it doesn't fit with the current worldviews of people? You will have nothing left. Churches? Mosques? Stadiums? Rome? Books? Holidays? Literally ANYTHING can be placed under this ideology of destroy.
Also, fair enough, Jesus probably wasn't a blonde blue eyed surfer, but I don't think Shaun King understands how heterogenous Egypt was. And let's not forget how much Jesus and faith helped American slaves in their toughest times. "Kumbaya" is a raw, emotional song.
I'm of Armenian decent. Our historical depictions of Jesus look...Armenian. Not as "Egyptian" as Shaun would've hoped or even Palestinian. But also not a surfer from California. Should we burn them? I feel like destroying historical items isn't very revolutionary. Maybe I'm wrong
