The reason we're laughing at the himbo ableism take isn't just because it's wrong, it's cause it obviously doesn't stem from observing real harm. It stems from being so painfully online for so long you look at everything through a tumblr-refined, problematic-seeking microscope
There are communities that really really reward that kind of 'hey I found the problematic' behaviour and if you spend too long in those and not enough in contact with real life, that's the bullshit you end up spouting. Reality and real harm literally don't even enter the equation
I'm really really glad we're all mocking and pushing back on that kind of take tbh because those people make being online miserable with their cultivated instincts to try and ruin things that everyone else is enjoying or talking about
If you're calling something out as harmful you should probably try and think of a situation where an actual real person would be harmed by it. The idea that 'himbo' would actually harm someone is so absurd it makes me feel like I'm reading a take from a different dimension
And if you're so far removed from reality that you're willing to make that kind of scornful, preachy take and lecture everyone else on the internet without ever thinking 'does this even matter?' then honestly you deserve all the dunks you get
Like I hate the term 'wokescold' but there's a reason it got popular and it's because you are literally scolding people for no reason
