it should have never been normalized that crying after a critique was okay
i have had stressful but meaningful critiques from teachers who very dearly cared and wanted to see me do my best, and ive had critiques that have done nothing but make me scared to ever show my art to anyone ever again
okay i think i gonna mute this thread, but i have been reading all the comments and I am so sorry to everyone who this happened to and felt that this was just "part of the experience" of art school or any school. take care of yourselves and remember that we can change this
