Explain a norm in your culture as though you’re an outsider informing another outsider
That’s a fun one https://www.twitter.com/Fezyk_/status/1275175394795110400
If you make too much eye contact, they will not trust you. If you make too little eye contact, they will not trust you. There is no universal agreement as to how much eye contact one should make. But they will still judge you harshly if you fail.
They believe that what distinguishes homo sapiens from other animals is the ability to think, but will chastise you for thinking too much.
They believe there is such a thing as a true idol, but nobody agrees on which idol is the correct one.
It is fun to break this norm and watch people squirm https://www.twitter.com/Tom_Scribbler/status/1275183795369578498

When you ask to borrow something or if you can take something, you must call it “stealing.” When you pass someone in a tight space, you must call it “sneaking.” Almost everyone looks down on criminal behavior. https://www.twitter.com/RevSouthpaw/status/1275186178346622977
