”Innocent until proven guilty” and ”Guilty until proven innocent”. Shouldnt it be ”Accused until proven guilty or innocent”. I just feel like both of them is kind of weird because both are assumptions.
We shouldnt assume anything because someone says so. Both ways. But I still agree that the victim comes in first hand, but I still wanna hear the accused ones side of the story and to see what proof they have.
Im not saying this as a Belieber so dont think Im some stupid kid who just want Justin to be innocent. Of course I want him to be innocent. But this is a serious matter and Danielles story was as believable to me as to everyone else here. I believed her because that is my first-
instinct to do. Why the hell would I forgive Justin for rape? Obv rape is worse than lying about being raped, but lying about being raped is still bad and just because it happens rarely doesnt mean it never happens. I just want people to understand that this can still happen!
We already have the problem of victims not speaking out because scared of not being believed. False accusations is a reason for that like the case with Justin. So we should take these things more serious, look more into it. We have to be more careful about assuming. —>
But most important, we still need to make victims know they are heard! We listen and we believe them!

I dont know where Im going with this thread so I will leave it here. This is confusing af but I just wish people didnt lie about these kinds of stuff.
