I had been debating on writing about this because people may think I am dogpiling but this is less about me but more about culture of sexual haraasment on http://conceptart.org  I hope it finds those scared to speak up

Some of you may or may not know I used to help admin there. I was young and excited to help out a community that had so much information for aspiring artists. Sure it was hectic/weird but overall fun. I knew enough to help out on some technical parts

There was also an IRC (internet relay chat) when it was still a goto spot vs Discord. It was hosted by one of the admins ... one of the few with backend access. Being a long time person online is one of the reasons I still go by usernames than my real name.

But anyways on IRC I was approached sexually and being a long time user of the webs, its something you put up with and play along with. I thank god that this is less of the case these days, so progress. But let me keep going

Apparently I wasn't the only one approached this way and eventually the females wanted their own safe space. Like I said, I been online so long I feel I was conditioned to think its part of life. So I rarely went in the girls forum cuz I am a tough girl

I posted some of what I am about to say next on another post about another member, but I want people to know it was more than Manley and Bradley causing discomfort with the women on the forum and around that community.

You see, some of the girls including myself wanted to lose weight, so I idled in the conversation to see how they wanted a support group. Some suggested taking photos of their progress like in underwear or near nudity. That caught an admin(s) interest.

That was infuriating that there was no safe space for these women. And already there was some other feelings of being objectified where it seemed certain members wanted to pressure other females to be live models.f

Funny how there's little pressure on that for the guys on that forum
Or other little things like being a good spot to date hot art chicks. These are minor I suppose but imagine just trying to work hard and being objectified.

The point of this thread is I want those girls to come forward and not hide anymore. I am here to support you.
