Every day, I see the ways my state has simply and collaboratively combatted the coronavirus.

Everyone wears masks. There is no debate. Everyone wears one.

We’ve gone from 2nd in the country in cases to 36th.

Our daily new case rate has fallen by 95% since its peak.

1/
And mine is the most densely populated state in the country.

If any *state* as a whole should struggle with containing coronavirus spread, it should be mine.

Yet, it has.

2/
Meanwhile, as mine begins to slowly and responsibly adjust restrictions, other states are going in the polar opposite direction.

I know the reasons. You know the reasons.

It still shocks me anew every single day that the state with the hardest challenge demonstrated a way...
3/
...and states with far less of a population challenge have instead opted to willfully assist in the deaths of thousands of people.

We’re already at two Vietnam Wars. Twelve Normandy invasions. Sixty Pearl Harbors.

And all it would take to stem more is people wearing masks.

4/
Someday, we will look back on the sea of dead and see the people responsible as exactly what they are:

Deliberate and purposeful co-conspirators in driving mass deaths.

There must be accountability. There must be consequences for knowing manslaughter by politicians
