Also, please, dan Allah, when you decide to indulge us by answering our questions, don't just mention one Arabic book and tell us to go and check it. We won't check it! Besides, most of us don't have access to such books.
And Wallahi, I promise you, if you could take just a few minutes of your time to give a brief explanation before recommending a book for further explanation, it would be much better for all of us.
One of the categories of good deeds which keeps on accumulating even after death is knowledge which benefits. May Allah increase all of us in beneficial knowledge.
Lastly, dissent. Omoo. This is a sensitive one. But basically, please be open-minded. You may not always be right. If new information comes up (respectfully of course), please try to hear the other person out before deciding whether or not it's useful to you.
Imam Shafi'i used to say, 'My opinion is the correct one, which may be wrong. Your opinion is the wrong one, which may be correct.'
Sometimes it's not the necessarily the law/ruling you have misunderstood but the facts which may in a way affect the applicability of the ruling.
And finally, I'm not a scholar, I'm not even an Ustaz, heck, I'm barely a student. I'm not dictating anything to anyone. Na just advice. Kuyi hakuri dan Allah.
