1)No man is above the nation. We are all cohesively tied up by one Identity that is we are Bharatvasi. Our religion/gender/occupation comes later. Institutions like the Indian Army will stand just like the nation will stand forever. We are a civilization not just a piece of land

2)How many of us have felt a cord in our heart when the lyrics were sung "Main rahoon ya na rahoon bharat ye rehna chahiye" it's truth. We may or may not stay but Bharat has to stay. No man is above Bharat & that is one absolute truth.

3)Leaders will come & go, mortals have duty which they need to do & depart. Same goes for those wearing the uniform, as a veteran none are above the institution called Indian Army, one may be the top brass also. Problem comes when one feels they are indispensable but they aren't

4)The Army is from us, Indian Army recruitment doesn't happen on Mars. It's NCO,some times a warrant officer, sometimes a son of a cook who passes SSB on his own merit to keep the sword after he steps on the Antim Pagh. Army as an Institution doesn't discriminate.

5)This haughtiness of running down people as JCO, petty officer or Short Commissioned officer reeks of a uniformed version of "tu jaanta hai main koun hoon" officers are made from many homes of JCO's & short commissioned officers. One Army one respect or is it that tough?

6)Human Brings err because we are conditioned to err. Law of Hamartia. Men in Army have erred too & why not? Each human makes a mistake. There are skeletons in closets & files. But decorum of seniority has to be maintained in order to command respect. You don't snatch respect.

7)Behave like a man apart from other men & you will be given utmost respect. Social media is a platform for all & once you hang your boots there are no buddy's here. Chiding or deriding an officer for being pro BJP is not a sin not as big as Adarsh Housing society crime.

8)BJP is not Hamas. It's the same govt which has public majority if you don't like it because your Gymkhana flaunting & Tetra Truck deals or folks stuck in National Hereld case is brought up by the govt then stop using the pious uniform to score political goals during a crisis.

9) No one is flawless or just because he is a veteran deserves to go unquestioned. Day in day out what Pravin Sawhney writes is not just below the belt for serving officers but runs opposite to the ethos of the Army. Once you wear a political coat for gains you are not a veteran

10) When Air Vistara deleted its tweet welcoming Gen G.D Bakshi only because a Rohini Singh felt she couldn't tolerate. How many veterans stood up for him? After all he was a senior officer & a senior citizen too. Is all respect to be given to anti govt leaning veterans only?

12) Indian Army as an Institution is our parent who defends us, cares for us during calamities each officer who is standing at the border is just another form of Vishnu Avatar. Do not demean the uniform to score unsavoury political volleys of verbosity sliding into embarrassment

13)We look upto the Indian Army. During such a time when cyber psychological optics & propaganda war is unleashed by china. We have our veterans fighting among themselves. Lt Gen Roy wrote that glad his son is not in the Army. Your identity is because of Army today.

14) When people like Lt Gen Roy trash the very Institutions which gave him the very rank which he proudly flaunts on his twitter handle, a citizen is bound to ask questions because Indian Army won't shut down because his prakrami Arjun like son has not picked up his gandiv.

15)For every Lt Gen Roy's brave son there will be a NCO, a warrant officer & a cook whose son will be dreaming to become an officer. There will be scores of Maj Dhayia, Maj Vibhuti who will never let the uniform get dirty. We don't need Lt Gen Roy's son or Pravin Sawhney anymore

16) As a citizen it breaks my heart to see few. 3 stars fall unshiny if your humility is as cold as ice. A man of all seasons doesn't pick up twitter brawls flaunting his rank. Deriding anyone shows you were just not attentive for your mannerism class.

17) With few veterans jump few failed journalists whose ever favourite old monk is Army. They almost behave like COAS without uniform. From WhatsApp groups speculations & assumptions fall on social media & in cartels one functions indirectly mouthing off demoralizing words.

18) Write columns against the Govt because we are a democracy. Modi is not a God but common man treats Armymen like Gods. So stop using your old rank & uniformed Display picture to score political points when Col Babu & akin happily give away their lives.

19) Lt Gen Roy's son may not be in the Army for which he feels fortunate enough. But Dear Lt Gen Roy when ever i have a son I'll make him go in the Army & if he gives his life for the nation I'll proudly salute his body. Uniform is not a bonus for retired life.

20) An uncouth man is way better than a bitter man whose bitterness can be harnessed by opponent. You could be anyone, any towering personality but the moment you admonish & abhor a perennial institution that gave you an identity you have proven you were never worth it's salt.
