Thread time. 🔥

Haven't done one of these in a bit.

But as the great Conor McGregor would say...

THE KING IS BACK! 😤

I've walked the walk, now it's time to talk the talk.

HOW TO MAKE MONEY ON TWITTER - THE THREAD! 💵
So, there are three major ways you can do it.

They involve either selling info products or online services.

You sell info products as a creator or as an affiliate marketeer.

Or you can provide your services as a freelancer. (web designer, copywriter etc...)
I'll be talking exclusively about info products which is what I have experience with so far.

Why it's such a profitable business and why you should start selling them as well.

Let's get started
Let's start with affiliate marketing as it is the easiest.

(but also, less rewarding, in my opinion.)

This is where you're going to start.

I started there, you'll start there, everyone starts there and you'll understand why in a bit.
When it comes to affiliate marketing, you're in full hustle mode.

You'll be grinding on the DMs trying to close sales with people everyday.

It will be very frustrating at first.

You'll fail, but it's okay, you'll get skin in the game and valuable experience.
The first advice I have to tell you is that you should affiliate for products of well-established creators.

Also, affiliate for relatively "expensive" products, you don't want to be grinding for $20 products.

The average affiliate commission is 50%.
Imagine being grinding to close a sale just to get a $10 commission.

Not worth it.

Pick something that's atleast $30 or more.
Most of your sales will come exactly from DMs.

But this doesn't mean that you shouldn't post affiliate offers on the TL.

Don't spam it, but there's a very strong benefit to doing this.

You might not even get a sale from the link
But your affiliate link is now stored in the user's cookies.

So even if you didn't get the sale, if one of the people that clicked your link later buys the product, you'll still get your commission.

So, don't be afraid to promote.

Maybe you'll lose a couple of followers.
But don't stress about it.

Another thing I recommend is that you mainly stick to a couple of products.

This is helpful because of consumer psychology.

A person on average needs to see an offer about 10 times to make the decision to buy.
If you're promoting a bunch of different products all the time, it will be a lot harder to create that FOMO feeling on people.

Stick to 2 or 3 high-quality products and you'll be more successful.
When it comes to DMs, this is where your sales skills will be put to the test.

My recommendation is that you create a relationship with your potential prospect.

And promote the right product for the right person.
What do I mean by this?

I mean that each individual will have a different set of pain points and different goals.

If the person you're talking to is struggling with growing their Twitter account, sell them a product that will help with their Twitter Growth.
If the person is struggling with affiliate marketing, sell them a product related to affiliate marketing.

And the list goes on.

It's mandatory that you understand what your potential customer is looking for.

And how do you do this?
Well, you do it by establishing a relationship first before you even attempt to sell anything.

Talk with the person, try to understand exactly what they're looking for.

Build trust by creating relatability.

Let the person know that you were in his/her shoes once.
People buy something most of the time off an emotional impulse.

This is what you're aiming to create.

You want to create an emotional response and follow along with it.

You should also be focusing on one idea when selling.
The most important goal is to create a mental image inside your potential customer's head.

The type of person they would become if they bought and took action on the information that you're selling them on.

Once you get your customer hooked and interested
Now it's not that hard to close the sale.

Remember that I just said most people buy off an emotional impulse.

They rationalize such emotional impulses with logic.

The hard part is getting them to feel, you already got that done, so what do you do now?
Well, now you bring all the rest.

You talk about results, show proof, testimonials, ratings, etc...

You talk about the benefits the product has to offer, how it will benefit your client.

You do this right and you've got your sale in the bag.
Note that you won't be able to sell to some people.

I mean, it's possible to sell to anyone really. (If they have the money to buy what you're selling)

But some people will be a lot harder than others

As a result the time trade for the money you'll get just ain't worth the ROI
Why does this happen?

Well, first reason is that there are cheap people who are either just too frugal or too skeptical and refuse to invest in an info product.

My personal recommendation is that you don't waste your time with non-action takers.
The second reason though, it mostly has to do with the level of awareness of your potential customer.

The less familiar they are with the concept you're trying to sell, the harder it is to close it.
That's why I recommend that you just walk away from some sales.

The time you trade to try to convince that person just ain't worth the ROI.

Take your L, analyze what you could've done better, and who knows.

Maybe that person won't buy now but they might do it later.
Now let's talk about how to sell as a creator.

This is a whole different beast.

And you don't want to straight dive into it.

I've done this mistake myself and I'm telling you.

Don't do it.
Here's how you are successful as an info product creator.

First thing's first.

You have to build a brand and create trust.

I don't recommend anyone releasing a paid product with getting that rapport first.

It will flop.

And you'll feel like crap.

It is what it is.
In order for people to buy from you as a creator, they have to be familiar with you and they have to trust your brand.

People don't buy products, they buy brands.

That's why I pay a couple hundred bucks on a pair of white Nike Air Force 1.
They're just white sneakers.

But I resonate with the brand, I like the brand, I've been loyal to the brand for years.

Once you establish a trustable brand with loyal followers, people will buy from you because they trust the quality of your work.
They know you'll bring your A-game to the table.

It's a lot easier to sell to an engaged audience than to an audience that has no clue who you are.

It's definitely possible, but you're probably not an expert copywriter to pull that off so, just stick to the easy way.
Establish yourself as an authority.

Give out high-quality value to your people.

Put in that consistent everyday effort to help people with their problems.

Embrace that delayed gratification.
So, let's assume you're listening to what I'm saying.

You've created your brand and now you want to create a product.

Great.

No, not great.

Stop working on whatever product you're developing right now.

Listen very well to what I'm about to tell you.
The most important lesson when it comes to developing a product as a creator is

Create the product your audience wants, not the product you think your audience wants.

Adapt the product to your audience, not the audience to your product.
If you fail at this, your product will fail as well.

Remove your ego from the equation.

At least while you're on the come up.

Think about your potential customers first.

If you develop the product they crave, your product will be a success, otherwise, you'll just end up sad.
And disappointed and end up wondering where you went wrong.

So listen to what I'm telling you.

Listen to your audience, find out what they're looking for.

Do a market study, find out what works, what doesn't.

Figure out what the market is looking for, become good at it
And develop that product.

Underprice it and overdeliver.

That's how you are successful as a creator.
So, let's assume you're still listening, you've made a product the market wants.

You've built a big audience.

You're ready to launch!

Wrong.

Let's go over it.
You need a launch plan, especially if this is your first product.

So what do you do?

You plan it.

I'll make some bulletpoints.
Here's the plan:

- Create hype.
- Announce.
- Create an email waiting list.
- Create great compelling copy.
- Pre launch with a BIG discount to your email list.
- Pre launch on Twitter with a big discount.
- Launch on Twitter with a nice discount.

Let's go over these.
1 - Creating hype.

Spill out that you're working on something for your audience.

Create mystery and hype for your loyal followers.

Tweet out subtle hints for a while.
2 - Announcing it.

After a while, when most of the work on the project is done, announce it.

Make a big announcement and it's optimal that you already have your waiting list ready.

Plug your email list on the announcement and start gathering emails.
3 - Copy

Your copy has to be on point.

Study the copy of the big money Twitter creators.

Reverse engineer what they do.

Apply it to your gumroad copy.

And if you have results, use them in your copy.
3 - Pre Launch

With a BIG discount for the email list, you want to make the audience feel like there was a purpose to them signing up to your email list.

You want to properly reward your most loyal followers!
Make a big discount on pre-launch on Twitter, but a bit more than the email list.

Also make sure you do this pre-launch along with a big milestone.

For example if you hit 3k, 4k, 5k followers, a big number paired with pre-launch is a killer combo.
Finally, after all the pre-launch copies are gone, launch a couple of days after.

It's a mistake to launch the next day because so many people have bought it the day before.

If you launch the next day, the likely hood of getting a good number of sales will be low.
Okay, your product has launched, you've made good money!

Great!

What now?

Can't get complacent.

Time to hustle for testimonials, 5 star ratings and high quality affiliates.
This is the most important part of making your product last instead of being a one-hit-wonder.

You need those high-quality affiliates grinding hard for you and giving more exposure to your brand new product.

Also, high-quality affiliates will get you sales, forget low-quality.
Followed all these steps?

Congratulations, you've made it as a creator.
