cw: Sexual Assault/Abuse

I don’t trust people who act surprised when they find out how common abusers are in any given industry.

It means they’re either completely unaware of well documented, systemic problems or that they want you to think they are.
Ignorance isn’t the shield you think it is.

That level of unawareness, feigned or otherwise, of pervasive systemic problems shows a profound lack of motivation to hold yourself and others accountable. As does your silence.
Always believe survivors of sexual assault/abuse/harassment.

Don’t minimize your contribution to the problem, tackle it head on. Educate yourself, think critically, reflect on situations and actions by yourself and others, and call out toxic/abusive behavior wherever you see it.
If you think this is about you don’t ask for forgiveness, no one owes you that especially not victims of abuse. You can’t change what you’ve already benefited from but you can change the future.

Don’t do better make a sustainable effort to BECOME better.

Do the work.
As a male survivor of multiple sexual assaults I am not free from judgement and the same self-examination that I asked of you.

I will always have room to grow and work to do.

This can’t be ignored.

Do the work.
