Folks applying for O1/greencard style visas, check your updated citations because the jumps are large (& no email notification)! Thanks again @annargrs+ @earnmyturns: this also really helps intl immigrants because O1/GC type apps (unfortunately) put high weight on citations...1/2 https://twitter.com/aclanthology/status/1274387013035327489
2/2...I remember a very stressful experience a few years ago with this whole GC application process (like everyone I know), trying to collect 1000's of documents and accounting for every possible citation to make our case "strong" and prove our worth...
(+luckily nowadays, you can show multiple reliable sources like SemanticScholar + MicrosoftAcademic + GoogleScholar for other missing citations & metrics; so big thnx to these efforts from teams at AI2/Google/MS! Btw, I'm happy to help community folks going thru this process now)
(E.g. DM me if you need tips for how to map/visualize citations on world/US maps, & based on universities that cite you, etc. etc. Just dug up all these cumbersome todo's/tricks when chatting w. @vinodkpg, & realized it can save people a lot of time+annoyance+redundant effort
