Y’all. I am having the WORST day ever because of @MakeSpace. I am moving out of my current spa today and keeping my items in storage because I’m moving to the new space soon and didn’t want to store my inventory at home. Cool. I thought it would be quick and easy! WRONG. Omg.
So I scheduled my pickup between 8am-11am EST. It specifically says that will ARRIVE between that time. I’m here at the spa with my family. We got here at 8am. I was *on time* and I made sure everything was packed and ready.
9am comes. No one is here. No one has called me. I’ve been calling their customer service, no one answered or called me back. 9:32am, I finally get a call back, and the customer service says the drivers are going to arrive by 10:30. Ok, whatever. I guess.
10:30 comes. They’re STILL not here. So I call again. No response. They finally text me at 11:30, which is 30 minutes past the time this was supposed to be finished, and they say they’re 20-30 minutes away. I have things to do. I have clients. My mom has work. A whole day wasted.
So they finally get here at 12:13, and this is when they called me. Which is well over an HOUR after we were supposed to be *done*. Not starting, but *finishing* at 11am. They’re arriving past noon. NO apology has been given still.
The drivers come in. They seem really lax. They don’t even slightly acknowledge that they’re FOUR HOURS LATE. I’m so annoyed at this point, but I was polite to them. This was also supposed to be no contact and the driver shakes my hand???? During a pandemic?!
Long story short, they come into the spa to evaluate what equipment they need. We run over all my inventory together and the driver specified that there is a BED (the facial bed). He says that they’re going back to the truck to get the equipment/boxes they need. Cool. Ok.
It doesn’t end there. Their driver comes inside and is explaining to me what’s going on and repeatedly refers to me and my family as “nigga” mind you he is WHITE. A WHITE MAN FROM MAKESPACE IS USING NIGGA IN THE PRESENCE OF BLACK PEOPLE. @MakeSpace @rghandi10.
Their driver then tells me that @makespace is going to just toss my stuff and possibly break them. Their customer service lady, Brooke, cusses me out on the phone and hangs up on me. NO APOLOGY.
@rgandhi10 can you please explain why your WHITE driver referred to me as “nigga”? Why your customer service agent cussed me out and hung up on me? You guys are RACIST and I promise you that you will NEVER see a dollar from me, or any other Black person reading this again.
I just recorded this right now. They then returned my stuff AFTER already packing them up and just tossed them back into my room AND damaged my $3000 facial bed with scuff marks that are NOT coming off.
I’m sorry I’m crying in this video and it might be hard to hear what I’m saying. I am so, so upset right now I can’t stop crying. I am shaking. I’m literally drenched in sweat from being so upset. NO genuine apology has been given to me still & the drivers left me with this mess.
We are all collectively cancelling @makespace and their CEO @rgandhi10 can go too. This is absolutely ridiculous. They were charging me $15 for a BOX. A BOX!!!!! Even after they arrived FOUR HOURS LATE.
The customer service agents I spoke to were Brooke and Amrita. Brooke is the one who hung up on me. Amrita at least tried to offer a solution......and the solution was for them to return my stuff to me after wasting my whole day and pick them up another day. Like HUH????
