- finding emerging novel viruses in China and Africa
- working directly with WHO, UN to coordinate messaging

- keeping a stockpile on the ready for use in the emerging country if needed
- keeping a stockpile of all PPE, medical equipment to be distributed directly to States as needed.
- announcing national health emergencies

- anticipating national needs for additional hospital beds, doctors and nurses, etc and to step in with military personnel, equipment if needed
- coordination of national tracing and testing
- working with medical companies to develop vaccines
- providing additional housing

for displaced or quarantining the sick.
- communicating clearly and regularly thru a single spokesperson from HHS, coordinating with CDC
(politicians are not supposed to be doing it)
- project possible economic damage to the country
- provide oversight, quality control in States.

It is all spelled out, and the playbook sat gathering dust. The whole response was spur of the moment, driven by Jared Kushner with some Trump input. JARED KUSHNER! With no medical or political or emergency management experience.

The point is that there was no holistic response to Covid, or anything else in this administration. It has been a knee jerk reaction to everything, save for Trump's desire to help key countries around the world with political favors in exchange for a vast fortune in the future.

When you look at Trump's bizarre quotes and strange actions (Puting did not interfere in the election, pulling US troops from Turkey's border, selling billions of dollars of arms to Saudis, drone assassination of military leader of Iran, no response to Khashoggi's assassination

etc with the lens of his prescribed goals, they all suddenly make perfect sense. And that should set off alarms at the highest levels of Congressional leadership.
The only responsible solution is to rip Trump from office through impeachment. #ImpeachTrump
