Many non dominant BC castes like Vannar, Navithar, Kuyavar, Boyar, Oddar Vishwakarma, Yadavas (Konars), Senguntha Mudaliars, Chettiyars, Pillaimars, Reddiars etc. have next to nil representation.
It is exactly these communities plus the SCs which voted against ADMK - BJP alliance to DMK alliance because of Stalin's caste neutral image against Edappadi's dominant BC caste image.
This took DMK alliance to whooping 53% vote share in 2019 Lok Sabha.

However it is also observable that Stalin too didnt give proper representation to these communities. Hence the surplus votes he got against Edappadi is actually volatile fluidic vote ready to transfer to a 3rd leader with Caste neutral image. Only 1 person fits the bill.
