I was looking at this 2012 policy document, & #39;NonAlignment 2.0& #39; authored by @SunilKhilnani, Rajiv Kumar, @pbmehta, @prakashmenon51, @NandanNilekani, @srinathraghava3, Shyam Saran, and @svaradarajan, and paragraph 174 [highlighted in red] jumped out at me in the current context.
This came about because of the Ashley Tellis podcast at @CarnegieIndia where he said that the Chinese went back from Depsang in 2013 because India had gone into Chumar, and the two sides then easily negotiated to agree to status quo ante.
