You can be a Christian and be hated by the world.

You are not a Christian.

There is no middle ground.

You cannot be "OF" the world and be a Christian.

If you're a Christian, the world will not love you.

It's not supposed to.

Too often today, people try to ride both sides of the fence.

People profess that they are Christians,

Yet they:

-Pick and choose parts of the Gospel to fit modern acceptance
-Get upset when they face disdain and ridicule.
-Try to make the world's standards and God's standards fit together.

"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world."

1 John 2:15-16

If the world likes you,

You're doing Christianity wrong.

This world is not our home.

This world is a fallen, sinful place.

Our home is in eternity with Christ.

We will continue to face persecution and mockery. It will only get worse.

That's how it's supposed to be.

The world is not supposed to like us.

But it doesn't matter,

Because we know Who wins in the end.

We have the hope of eternity with Jesus Christ.

The world has nothing.

There is no hope for the world.

We have HOPE.

And that's all we need.
