It’s #IndependentBookshopWeek & we were asked to the dance by Northumberland bookshop @ForumBooks, so we’ve compiled this very eclectic playlist based on the pamphlets they ordered for the occasion. You listening @thesociallondon ? Because no one should drink alone...

Kicking off is Ry Cooder with the theme to Paris, Texas. This one goes out to Lorena Lohr. For anyone who joined our drinks session last week, you’ll know why we chose this track to reflect Lorena’s beauty of a pamphlet, Rough Trade Edition No.3—Blue Springs.

Next up, Daniel Blumberg’s Minus. Daniel’s pamphlet was created whilst he made the album, hence the title, Drawings of Minus—aka Rough Trade Edition No.1 - our very first publication!!

Probably one of our favourite Arthur Russell tracks next—Arms Around You—although it was very hard to choose cos they’re all bloody great. This one’s going out to @richard_king and his pamphlet The August Fawn from Series 2

So @Mathew__Clayton was a teenage bellringer & when you read his pamphlet of the same name he recommends that you listen to Yello. We had to choose Oh Yeah for this playlist as it reminded us of @BabakGanjei crackin' joke when he did his show with @OfficeOfCraig on @sohoradio

According to @BabakGanjei this track is what sex sounded like in the 80s. Howlin' for days after he cracked that one!

Did you know the genius artist & creator of Rough Trade Edition No.6—Film Ideas, Mr @BabakGanjei was also in a few bands back in the day? Wet Paint being one of them. Let’s 'Hug It Out' with him now...

Next up are legendary Japanese indie-pop-rockers Shonen Knife with Love Song, the perfect accompaniment to @PhotoLauraLewis's photographs of Japanese love hotels as featured in Passion 202—Rough Trade Edition No.17
