Just had a surprise visit from the police, asking why my youngest hasn’t “done her homework” or “returned to school with other Year 10s.”

She’s Year 11.
She did online revision (not homework) until an ear infection 2 weeks ago.

Her school know all this but SENT THE POLICE.
To clarify for people replying:

Police said year 10 had returned but my youngest hadn’t & she had “not done homework for a couple of weeks.”

She is year 11, not 10. She was given revision not homework. No welfare issue, I talk to her class tutor WEEKLY so they know how she is.
Do I blame the police?
No.
I blame her school.
The school she’s attended for 2 yers should know what year she’s in, they should know she’s finished her GCSEs. They should also know homework isn’t a police matter too so giving that as a reason for the visit is ridiculous.
To answer some questions:

• It’s an Academy.
• They know I’ve been shielding, so going out is not a straightforward.
• They know she was diagnosed with Labyrinthitis last week.
• It’s part of the TBAP trust that was investigated by Panorma last year. https://www.localschoolsnetwork.org.uk/2019/03/bills-unpaid-after-aspire-academy-ap-free-school-joined-tbap-panorama-investigation
