Ok, cool, you want to talk about the #BollywoodMafia? Let’s talk about Zeenat Aman losing partial sight in one eye because Sanjay Khan BEAT HER IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INDUSTRY PARTY.
Let's talk about SRK, the poster boy for outsiders, dropping Aishwarya Rai from every project because HIS FRIEND was abusing her and crashing her sets. We can add "won't work with actresses his own age" to that discussion, too.
We could also talk about Sajid Khan openly blaming his OVERWHELMING lack of talent on Jacqueline Fernandez: "When you don’t have a woman in your life, you don’t have someone constantly nagging you, so you end up working better and are more focused."
Or, you know, we could talk about the ACTUAL mafia threatening actors and even putting hits out on them. Or the people like Sanjay Dutt who stockpiled weapons from literal terrorists.
These are just a few examples and this has been going on for a hundred years. And all you assholes care about is how Alia Bhatt got a job. No one is saying nepotism is great; your priorities are just totally fucked.
You've all been steadfastly ignoring the damage done to people in the industry, particularly women, irrespective of their background or star power, and now you want to pretend like the biggest problem in the industry is Karan Johar casting Ananya Pandey (whose pics you post!).
How many "outsiders" have been accused of sexual abuse, hm? You say we should look to Hollywood...and we should. We should look at the hundreds of people who have abused their power despite being related to no one in particular.
Stop pretending like you actually give a fuck about vulnerable people, because the literal box office receipts prove that is not true. Film industries may be cesspools but not for the reasons you're insinuating. You don't get to decide to only care after someone dies.
And before the inevitable "stay in your lane" comments, film IS my lane. And whether you're Roman Polanski or Woody Allen or Salman Khan or Asia Argento, money/power/influence almost always saves you from facing consequences. I'm not watching it happen anymore.
So if you are more interested in confirmation bias than justice for actual victims, you don't get to have a seat at the table just because it's now convenient for you.
