Maybe this helps someone?

Over the last 18 months, I’ve watched my health indicators all move in the wrong direction.

- Resting heart rate increased from 65 to 80
- VO2 Max from 45 to 37
- Heart rate variability from 38 to 32
I stopped drinking, I cut salt, I added cardio. Nothing made more than a minor difference. My doctor had put me on a diuretic to improve blood pressure, which didn’t help.

So I went to UCSF cardiology and did a full battery of tests. Only learning was I have genetically high BP
Two weeks ago I was switched from a diuretic to a light ACE inhibitor for blood pressure

- blood pressure from 130s/90s to 100s/60s
- resting heart rate from from 80 to 64
- HRV up to 60ms

And my weightlifting stamina doubled. Thanks Dr Long at UCSF, and @rabois for all help
